At the 1st stage of higher education:

- specialty 1-51 01 01 Geology and exploration of mineral deposits with the qualification "Engineer-geologist";

At the second stage of higher education:

- specialty 1-51 80 04 Geology, the profile “General and regional geology” with the degree of "Master of Sciences".

The Department is the country's largest educational and scientific centre for regional geology.
